Open Living Space Sustainable Refresh
Inner City Condo Living
Our client Julianne was introduced to REBEL&CHIC as she wanted to redecorate her condo’s open-living-floor plan. Key spaces to focus on included the entry way, dining room and living room.
Julianne’s space had lovely structural bones to work with including: tall ceilings, a wall of floor to ceiling windows, ample living room square footage to create a cozy-sophisticated space for cozy nights in or hosting dinner parties for friends and family.
Julianne had a few key pieces of furniture she wanted to include within her new décor and pieces she wanted to refresh, as well as incorporate new multi-functional pieces due to space constraints of condo living. Everything for this condo interior decorating project needed to provide ample room for traffic flow from space to space, and thoughtful décor chosen for purpose and place within our clients sustainably aligned values.
The end result was a beautifully transformed living room that provided a cozy-sophisticated vibe that incorporated a feature wall covered in a beautiful teal-green grasscloth wallpaper, a gorgeous wooden cabinet with ample storage for electronics and vinyl, wall mounting her TV to free up floor space, a multipurpose circular wood top/exterior linen covered coffee table that doubles as an extra guest seat in a pinch, a multi-shelf side table, wrinkle free floor-to-ceiling custom made white semi-sheers to provide shade on sunny days while still allowing in natural light, linen, cotton and artisan throw pillows, a cozy artisan crafted sherpa fleece throw blanket, an energy effient floor standing lamp with rattan shades, a large color themed area rug to help separate the living room from the dining area combined with a complete restyling of the space, furniture and other new décor.
In addition to the living room the kitchen incorporated a new ceiling mounted light fixture, and wall mounted shelving and art both new and existing.
The entry way incorporated a refinished mirror, a washable, stain-resistent non-shedding entry way rug, and fold-up wall mounted wooden seat for guests or our home owner to use while putting on shoes.
