Moody Master Bedroom
Inner City Condo Living
Our client Julianne was introduced to REBEL&CHIC when she originally wanted to redecorate her condo’s open-living-floor plan. After that project was complete – and she was happy with the cozy-sophisticated results that were achieved - she reached out again a couple of months later to have our firm interior decorate her master bedroom.
Julianne’s master bedroom had lovely structural bones to work with including tall ceilings, a window wall and ample square footage to bring to life as she describe wanting a “moody master bedroom”.
Julianne had a few key pieces of furniture and décor she wanted to include within her new master bedroom design, including her parents antique wooden headboard that she wanted to update and refresh and pieces of art she had collected as gifts and life’s travels. With the space constraints that exist with condo living, everything being considered for this moody master bedroom needed to provide a clutter-free environment, with decor chosen thoughtfully for purpose along with our clients sustainable product values.
The result was a beautifully transformed master bedroom that provided Julianne with a lush - and moody - environment that incorporated a dark turquoise wall, refreshed antique wood headboard and side tables (chic’d by How Sweet Shabby Chic).
Her new “Moody Master Bedroom” also included a new mattress and bedframe, duvet and duvet cover, and all new bedding in natural materials (made from linen, bamboo and organic cotton), and new throw pillows and cozy reading throw blanket.
A gorgeous hand woven tufted dark turquoise mixed colors lush area rug takes up the focal point of most of the ground in this room. And we accepted all of her favorite artwork pieces and custom framed them along with a unique mixed metal wall art décor to create a fluid feature wall of art.
In addition this moody master bedroom incorporated mixed brass metals through a new curtain rod and placement to create a visually appealing black out wall of curtains, a mixed metal artwork placement above the headboard, and a new weathered brass chandelier.
